Construct single storey 'wrap-around' extension to create new lounge, kitchen, utility and dining areas.
The clients had plans prepared prior to my invitation, unfortunately!
The plans showed what would have been an old section of wall was to be left to support the first floor- and it was not even concealable- about 600mm from an intended wall .This meant we had to adjust the design to incorporate a steel beam support, this had to be calculated and approved prior to starting, however it did mean that the design worked much better.
The Extension resulted in lots of additional living space including a new kitchen, utility,w/c, bedroom and dining room, we also removed the chimney to give more space to an existing room.
